Turning to the guy I had originally noticed, I sucked in a breath of air. He was looking at me like he wanted something more than to pretend he was giving me a number. Leaning in closer to him I asked over the loud music, “You married, too?”
His eyes smoldered as he shook his head. “Just tell me what you want me to do, baby, and I’ll do it.”
Oh shit. Shit, shit, shit. That can’t be good to have a guy say that to you.
“I was just thinking you would give me your number and give me a little striptease on the bar.”
The guy almost choked on his drink. “What? Are you serious?”
Smiling, I gave him a taste of his own medicine. Giving my best innocent sexy look, I said, “Yeah. Totally serious.”
Tilting his head, he asked, “Are you with someone?”
Although the guy was drop-dead handsome, I felt nothing even though he was looking at me with nothing but lust in his eyes. All I could think of was Colt. I’d never do anything to hurt Colt. Not even for a bet.
“Yes, I am with someone. I love him very much.”
The guy nodded his head and gave me a sweet grin. “He’s a lucky guy.”
Okay, so that made my stomach drop a little. “How do you know?” I shouted over the song. “You don’t even know me!”
Nodding his head slightly, his eyes turned sad. “I know enough. How far you want the striptease to go?”
Giggling, I leaned closer to his ear, “As far as you want it to go, but no penis shots. I may be taken, but I’m still a girl.” Pulling back, I winked as he started laughing.
Standing he asked, “What’s your boyfriend’s name?”
“Colt.”
The air around us changed for one brief second as the guy turned and grabbed a napkin and wrote his number down on it before turning to me. “Well, angel eyes, if things don’t work out with Colt, you know where to find me. By the way, my name is Grayson.”
Looking down, I felt my face flush. Glancing back up, I gave him a smile. “Lauren, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Grayson.”
“Let’s do this!” He shouted as he jumped up on the bar. Leaning over, he yelled something to the bartender. She gave him a thumbs-up and walked to the other end of the bar. When she came back, she was holding a microphone.
The DJ stopped the music as Grayson held up his hand. “All right, y’all. I’ve got a special request from my new friend, Lauren. DJ give me something sexy for my new girl.”
My face blushed as everyone started yelling out. An older song played as Grayson started dancing to it. My eyes widened as I turned back and looked at the girls. All five of them had their mouths hanging open as they watched Grayson.
Turning back, I watched Grayson move. Holy shit. Good lord this guy was hot. He was going to make some girl very happy someday. Chewing on my lower lip, I couldn’t pull my eyes off of him. His T-shirt was already gone as girls were screaming all around me.
The guy who Alex danced with yelled close to my ear. “He’s a professional stripper. You couldn’t have picked a better thing for him to do.”
Snapping my head to look at the guy, I shouted. “Are you kidding me? He’s a stripper?”
The guy threw his head back and laughed. “He sure is.”
Slowly looking back at Grayson, I watched as he worked the crowd on top of the bar. He turned and looked at me as he unzipped his pants.
Oh wow. Look away Lauren. Look. Away. My eyes slowly made their way up Grayson’s chest to his eyes.
A girl next to me screamed out, “He isn’t wearing underwear! Take it off, baby!”
Grayson smiled as he winked at me. Glancing down he had his pants pulled down just enough to leave the rest up to your imagination.
Snapping my eyes back up to his eyes, he shook his head no and yelled out, “No penis shots!”
Laughing, I gave him a thumbs-up as I turned around and smiled at the girls. Grace and Maegan were yelling out for Grayson to pull his pants all the way down.
“Fuck that! Penis shot! Penis. Shot!” Grace yelled out.
The song ended as I turned back to Grayson. He zipped his pants back up and the bartender handed him back his T-shirt as every female in the place began booing. Jumping down off the bar, Grayson took me by the arm and pulled me closer to him. “How was that?”
His touch did nothing to me, which had me breathing a sigh of relief because the bastard’s body sure had a slight effect on me. Taking my hand and fanning myself I said, “Perfect! I’m going to guess you’re good at your job?”
